Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise as a School Psychologist will help shape the well-being and academic success of high school students. This full-time, contract position is designed to support students ages 14 to 22, fostering mental health awareness and providing vital psychological services in a collaborative school environment. Enjoy a flexible schedule with 34 hours per week: four full days onsite working directly with students and staff, plus four hours each Wednesday working remotely on documentation and indirect responsibilities. The assignment runs from July 7th through May 28th, 2027, allowing you to make a long-term impact while working with a dedicated educational team.
Key Qualifications:
Hold current Arizona School Psychologist certification Proven experience conducting comprehensive evaluations for students with diverse needs Skilled in performing classroom and behavioral observations Experience working with high school-aged youth, including young adults Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective participation in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to promoting mental health awareness and inclusive school practicesPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and create actionable reports Observe students in various settings to support individualized planning Attend and contribute meaningfully to IEP meetings Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to advocate for student success Provide guidance and resources to promote mental health and resilience in the school community This role offers competitive hourly compensation, ranging between $45 and $56, as well as potential access to healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals for eligible candidates.
