Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract This full-time opportunity is perfect for a dedicated professional passionate about supporting the success and well-being of students. As a contract School Psychologist working close to Rock Island, you'll collaborate with a team of educators and families to foster positive educational outcomes.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
  • Experience with psychoeducational assessments, behavioral interventions, and counseling services for school-aged children
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and consultation skills
  • Ability to adapt services to diverse student needs and school environments
  • Familiarity with IEP development, RTI/MTSS frameworks, and special education legal requirements
Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments to inform educational planning
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to implement strategies promoting positive classroom environments
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate in the development and monitoring of IEPs
  • Assist in crisis intervention and help develop prevention programs that address school-wide needs
