Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting K-12 students in a contract role as a School Psychologist just outside of Valley Falls, KS. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across two schools and work with a manageable caseload, serving 63 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will play a crucial role in student success through evaluation, consultation, and intervention.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience conducting initial and three-year re-evaluations for K-12 students Strong background consulting on pre-referral interventions Familiarity with manifestation determination hearings related to disciplinary actions Excellent communication and consultation skills Ability to adapt services to individual student needs and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff
Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive initial and triennial evaluations for referred students Consult with educational teams on pre-referral interventions and strategies Participate in and facilitate manifestation determination hearings as needed Interpret assessment data, deliver recommendations, and support IEP processes Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding psychoeducational needs Maintain thorough documentation and ensure all services provided comply with relevant regulations Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students
