Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school psychologist position is available in Irvington, NJ, for a contract assignment within a school setting. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in psychological assessment and intervention, supporting student mental health, and collaborating with educators and families to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' educational and emotional needs. Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student well-being and academic success. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans. Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed. Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid licensure or certification as a school psychologist. Experience working in school settings with diverse student populations. Strong knowledge of psychological testing tools and educational regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
