Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract role as a school psychologist, supporting the educational and emotional needs of students in a dynamic school environment near Lexington, SC. This full-time opportunity runs from early August through late May, providing the chance to make a real difference in students' lives throughout the academic year.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist Previous experience in school settings is highly valued Strong understanding of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and special education processes Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational teams Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical guidelines in all professional duties
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting results for students, parents, and staff Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Provide direct and consultative services to students exhibiting learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges Offer crisis intervention and contribute to positive behavioral supports within the school community Maintain comprehensive documentation and records according to policy guidelines This assignment is onsite and offers full-time hours (37.5 per week), allowing for consistent engagement with the school and student population.
