Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role providing essential support to middle school students as a School Psychologist in the vibrant San Juan Capistrano area. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 17th to November 20th, offering the chance to work on-site with a focused caseload at a single middle school. Shape the lives of young adolescents by collaborating with educators and families to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential in California Previous experience in a school-based setting, preferably with middle school students Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to develop and implement individual and group interventions Familiarity with conducting assessments, providing counseling, and advocating for student needs Comfortable working collaboratively with educators, administrators, and caregivers
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments to identify student needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) Offer crisis counseling and participate in student support and intervention teams Collaborate with teachers and staff to design effective interventions and accommodations Maintain comprehensive records and meet legal and ethical standards for school psychologists Provide consultation, training, and resources for staff and parents Imagine making a meaningful difference each day, supporting one school's middle-grade learners during a critical developmental stage.
