Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract A rewarding contract position is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for school nursing and a commitment to providing attentive care to students with significant medical needs. This assignment offers an opportunity to make a profound difference in the life of a medically fragile student through a 1:1 support role during the academic year. In this onsite role, you'll work closely with the student, offering professional nursing care and acting as an essential liaison between the educational team, student, and family. Please note, hours may vary weekly depending on student attendance, with no opportunities for make-up hours during absences. Qualifications & Experience Current, unrestricted Georgia RN license (required) Previous experience in school nursing or similar pediatric setting highly preferred Knowledge of individualized healthcare plans and medical technology Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff and families Role Responsibilities Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a medically fragile student throughout the school day, attending to all health and safety needs Administer medication and perform complex health procedures as prescribed Monitor health status, document observations, and report concerns promptly Collaborate with school teams and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive support Provide health education to staff or family as needed Assignment Details & Benefits Contract position from July 31, 2026, to May 28, 2027 Up to 37.5 hours per week, following the student's attendance schedule Onsite-only opportunity with a focus on consistent, high-quality care If you're dedicated to supporting students and thrive in a collaborative educational environment, we welcome your application.
