Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by contributing your expertise as a School Social Worker for a preschool initial evaluation project near Phillipsburg, NJ. This contract-based opportunity is ideal for a bilingual professional specializing in Spanish-language assessments who is eager to support early childhood education and collaborate with a dedicated Child Study Team. You will conduct an initial evaluation for a preschool student, completing a comprehensive bilingual (Spanish) assessment. Your insights will be integral to understanding the student's needs and supporting their educational journey. The expectation is for the evaluation, including submission of the report, to be completed by July 1, 2026.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current and active licensure as a School Social Worker Demonstrated experience in conducting school-based social work evaluations Bilingual fluency in Spanish required for assessment purposes Experience with preschool-aged children, particularly within Child Study Teams Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform an initial bilingual evaluation for a preschool student Collaborate closely with district staff as part of the Child Study Team Prepare a detailed, timely evaluation report and submit by due date Adhere to staff hours: 8:00 AM - 2:55 PM during the evaluation process If you are passionate about early intervention, equipped for bilingual assessment, and ready to take on a vital short-term project, we encourage you to apply today.
