Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as you support language growth and communication skills for preschool children. This contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about early intervention and working within a supportive school environment. The role focuses on partnering with an early intervention team, delivering services onsite to children ages 3 and 4.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology license (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Previous experience as an SLP in a school or early childhood setting Working knowledge of age-appropriate interventions and communication strategies for preschoolers Exceptional collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for children ages 3-4 Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs Work closely with teachers, psychologists, and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary early intervention team Maintain thorough and timely documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state standards Offer guidance to families and caregivers regarding communication development Attend relevant meetings and professional development sessions as needed This part-time position averages around 4 hours per day, 4 days a week—allowing for a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle.
