Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Gastonia, NC! An enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide expert services to elementary, middle, or high school students for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 12, 2026 and continuing through May 26, 2027. This role offers the rewarding chance to make a true difference, while enjoying consistent hours—35 hours per week, across five days.
Essential Qualifications:
Active North Carolina SLP License is required Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Eligible for or holding Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status Previous school-based experience is a plus Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and teachers to support student progress Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and district policies Provide both individual and group interventions tailored to each student's needs Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development Stay current on best practices and legal requirements in school-based speech-language services The position offers a highly competitive compensation rate of $40 per hour, paid weekly.
