School Speech and Language Pathologist | Clawson, Michigan ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Clawson, MI Job Details Part-time | Full-time $45 - $55 an hour Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Working with individuals with speech impairments Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist! This position is located near Clawson, MI, and offers the chance to work across three closely situated schools, as well as provide in-home early intervention services within the community. You'll make a profound difference in the development of children from preschool through elementary grades, guiding them to improve communication and empowering their learning journey. This assignment begins June 1, 2026, and continues through Thanksgiving 2026. Enjoy a varied caseload with 5-10 hours per week during the summer and a consistent 32.5 hours weekly during the school year. You'll collaborate in a supportive educational environment, addressing early intervention needs year-round and working in both center-based and non-public school settings.
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan School Speech and Language Pathologist certification required Background working with diverse student populations (Early Intervention, PreK, and Elementary) Experience providing speech therapy in schools or early childhood settings preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to travel locally between schools—distances are minimal (within a 2-mile radius) Flexible and empathetic approach to student needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services in early childhood, non-public, and home-based settings Develop, implement, and update individualized education programs (IEPs) Conduct assessments and create detailed progress reports for students and families Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student communication needs Engage with different age groups and adapt therapy techniques as necessary For your dedication, you'll receive competitive pay ranging from $45 to $55 per hour, and the flexibility of part-time summer hours transitioning to full-time during the academic year.
