Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic K-12 district for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a contract opportunity well-suited for passionate SLP-CCC professionals as well as strong new graduates, including SLP-CFs ready to begin their careers in a supportive educational environment. Shape the lives of students by providing exceptional speech and language services, collaborating with teachers and families, and implementing individualized care plans that promote growth and progress. This full-time position offers the chance to work across various grade levels, allowing you to develop expertise and make a difference from elementary through high school.
Key Qualifications:
- Active or pending California SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Willingness to work with diverse student populations across K-12
- Passion for fostering student success and supporting academic achievement
- New graduates with excellent references and internships are encouraged to apply
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals
- Deliver effective therapy one-on-one or in small groups
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain required documentation and comply with district and state guidelines
