Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based contract position supporting students' communication skills and academic growth. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who thrives in collaborative educational settings and enjoys making a difference in the lives of young learners.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid SLPA licensure in California Prior experience working in school or pediatric environments preferred Solid understanding of speech and language development in children Ability to follow treatment plans created by an SLP supervisor Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and adaptability in dynamic school settings
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in IEPs, under supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with screening and assessment activities Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' communication needs Prepare therapy materials and support classroom activities related to speech and language development Contribute observations and feedback to support IEP goal development and progress monitoring
