Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Bring your expertise and compassion to an educational setting where you can make a lasting difference in students' lives. This contract opportunity is ideal for a caring, motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who thrives in a collaborative school environment. You'll work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists to deliver individualized speech and language services, supporting students as they reach important developmental milestones.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or certification meeting state requirements Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong interpersonal skills for effective student, staff, and parent communication Ability to follow therapy plans and document student progress accurately Excellent organizational skills and reliabilityKey Responsibilities:
Implement speech, language, and communication interventions as directed by supervising SLP Assist with conducting screenings and informal assessments under supervision Maintain thorough records of student sessions and progress Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support generalization of skills across school settings Help prepare instructional materials and adapt resources as needed Provide encouragement and reinforcement to students working toward IEP goals Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education as directed This is a fantastic chance to further your career in a supportive and progressive academic environment.
