Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Enhance your professional experience by providing vital speech-language services within a special education cooperative featuring multiple school sites across the Emporia, KS region. This contract opportunity offers the flexibility to work full-time or part-time, with hours designed to adapt to your availability. The setting serves diverse student populations—engaging with approximately 10-12 students in a typical day and upwards of 50-55 across a standard workweek—ensuring a dynamic and rewarding caseload.
Key Qualifications:
Active Kansas SLP license required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred Prior school-based SLP experience, ideally working with varied student groups Proficient in designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to collaborative, student-centered service delivery
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and intervention to students within the cooperative's member districts Develop and execute IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines Consult with teachers, parents, and allied professionals to optimize student support Deliver services exclusively onsite at assigned cooperative locations (all within an hour of the main center) Adjust therapy approaches to meet the varied needs of the student population
