Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful school-based role providing Speech-Language Pathology services in the Chattanooga area for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to work collaboratively within a supportive educational environment and help students develop vital communication skills. Traditionally, placements have been focused on the elementary age range, although exact caseload and site assignments will be confirmed closer to the start date. What you'll bring: Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license. Valid state Department of Education certification as an SLP. Familiarity with school-based SLP practices and compliance requirements. Ability to complete required fingerprinting and time-sensitive credentialing steps prior to start. Adaptability and commitment to professional collaboration.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing speech and language therapy services to a school-based caseload, expected to be primarily elementary. Assessing and evaluating students' speech, language, and communication needs. Developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to individual student needs and IEP goals. Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and generalize skills. Participating in IEP meetings and maintaining thorough records in accordance with district and state regulations. Working across one or more assigned campuses, with assignment details confirmed before start. This full-time role is contracted for 35 hours per week, beginning August 5, 2026, and extending through May 19, 2027.
