Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students from early childhood through 8th grade as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with another dedicated professional, jointly serving approximately 70 students. The assignment begins in mid-August and extends through late May, providing a full school year of impactful work in a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required. Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL). Current Illinois SLP license (IDFPR). ISBE number must be provided for application consideration. School-based experience supporting students from early childhood through 8th grade preferred. Strong assessment, collaboration, and communication skills.Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload alongside another SLP. Conduct assessments and contribute to IEPs in compliance with district and federal guidelines. Coordinate with educators, families, and related service providers for student success. Maintain thorough documentation of student progress. Participate in school/district meetings and adhere to union requirements.Benefits:
