Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational setting where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) can truly make a difference. This contract opportunity offers a supportive environment in which you'll work with students to enhance their communication abilities, collaborating closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or certification Experience or coursework specific to school-based settings Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress tracking Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities Passion for working with children and fostering a positive learning atmosphere
Primary Duties:
Conduct speech and language interventions as directed by a licensed SLP Assist in developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to individual student needs Accurately maintain session notes and track student progress Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as appropriate Support a welcoming and inclusive classroom climate Experience with renewals, such as assisting with continuity of services (e.g., Josefina Escobar renewal), is highly regarded and demonstrates a commitment to ongoing student support.
