Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' communication growth during Extended School Year (ESY) services from July 7 to August 7. This contract-to-hire position places you alongside an energetic and collaborative academic team. Required Qualifications & Experience:
Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure for Rhode Island, or eligibility to obtain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience working in a school setting, providing therapy and support for K-12 students Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for a range of speech and language disorders Passion for helping students reach their communication goals in an educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students per their IEP/504 goals Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to ensure comprehensive support Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school policies and professional guidelines Contribute to IEP meetings, progress reporting, and staff consultations Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating therapeutic atmosphere This is your chance to play a vital role in students' academic and personal success during a pivotal summer period while exploring the possibility for long-term placement.
