Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic, supportive environment as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the greater Chattanooga area. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills throughout the academic year, beginning August 5th, 2026, and concluding May 19th, 2027. With assignments typically focusing on the elementary age range, you'll play an essential role in shaping students' academic and social development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Current Department of Education certification in SLP Familiarity with school-based SLP responsibilities and best practices Ability to complete required fingerprinting promptly Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students based on IEP goals Participate in the assessment, identification, and development of intervention plans for students with speech or language disorders Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support positive student outcomes Maintain and document progress notes, session logs, and compliance paperwork according to district standards Adjust caseload management as assignments may involve multiple school sites with varying student populations Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
