This contract opportunity near Woodstock, IL is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) eager to contribute their skills in an educational environment while collaborating with experienced professionals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation a plus Ability to implement therapeutic activities as directed by an SLP Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families Reliable, organized, and committed to enhancing student success
Role Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Collect and document student progress data accurately and promptly Prepare materials and maintain therapy environments that foster student engagement Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to generalize communication skills Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed This assignment offers a chance to grow your hands-on clinical experience in both educational and healthcare aspects, working directly with students who benefit from your expertise.
