Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students' communication and language development as an SLPA for the upcoming academic year. This contract position runs from July 30, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and is ideal for professionals passionate about helping children thrive in a school setting. Work approximately 37.5 hours per week in a dynamic environment near Cypress, TX, collaborating with a dedicated educational team. In this role, you'll work closely under the supervision of a licensed SLP, implementing therapy activities, tracking student progress, and facilitating meaningful outcomes for students with diverse speech and language needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Texas Prior experience in a school-based environment highly preferred Strong understanding of child development and speech-language interventions Ability to create a supportive, engaging atmosphere for students ages PreK-12 Skilled in documentation and progress monitoring Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with educators and families Organizational skills for managing caseloads and scheduling
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed by the supervising SLP Conduct group and one-on-one activities to target student speech and language goals Collect and maintain accurate data on student performance and therapy outcomes Adapt therapy materials for varying student needs Participate in school meetings and professional development as required Enjoy competitive compensation with this contract position at $64.00 per hour, reflecting your expertise and professional dedication.
