Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication and language goals in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) eager to contribute expertise in collaboration with school-based teams and licensed SLPs. You'll play a crucial role in helping students reach their fullest potential through effective therapy and support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active SLPA license in the state or eligibility to obtain Experience within a school setting preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work closely with supervising SLP, teachers, and staff Familiarity with implementing therapy plans and recording data on student progress
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services to students under supervision of a licensed SLP Assist in screening, informal assessments, and documentation of student progress Support SLP with preparation of materials, lesson plans, and data organization Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and follow outlined therapy goals Participate in team meetings, communicate updates to staff and families as needed Adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs and learning styles This rewarding contract position offers you the chance to help students thrive while gaining valuable experience in a supportive educational setting.
