ABOUT GANN

SUMMARY Gann Academy seeks an energetic, creative, and passionate science and outdoor education faculty member to work with a small cohort of 8 th graders over the coming school year (2026-2027). This is a benefit-eligible position that is currently at 60%FTE. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Teach 4 hours a week, middle school science with a focus on teaching the scientific method and supervising individual science projects in areas of student interest; depending on expertise, projects could draw from topics in environmental science and incorporate field work on the Gann campus that is home to the Gann Farm and located close to many beautiful nature preserves Supervise an additional 2-4 hours of physical wellness class, taking middle school students outside as much as possible, supervising students on the Gann Farm, supervising sports and physical exercise outside, including local hikes, walking, frisbee, football, basketball, etc. Supervise a small cohort of middle school students for an additional 1-2 hours a week during student clubs, student wellness, and student activitiesNote:
This position requires someone to be on campus 10-12 hours a week at different times during the day. Ideal for a graduate student or someone with a flexible schedule. Hours range from 10 am to 5 pm.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Physical demands include frequent outdoor work, stooping, bending, sitting or standing for extended periods, and carrying equipment.
