Applicants should have strong verbal and communications skills and a high proficiency using MS Office applications. This position within GSS involves working as a support role to our Director's and Project Manager's in our Urbandale, Iowa office and reporting/liaison work with our many clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordination of subcontractors, client interactions, report writing and preparation, project management and marketing of GSS to existing and potential clients, mailing, filing and the processing of new projects. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are also a must. The role for this position would primarily be overseeing the NEPA and Section 106 reviews for multiple projects. This process includes completing informal biological assessments, correspondence with tribal nations, state and local historical societies, mapping, letter and email correspondence, placement of public notices, submittals to tribal nations, Section 106 submittal's, preparing NEPA Reports, Environmental Assessments and subcontractor coordination. Prior experience performing NEPA/Section 106 evaluations and informal biological assessments are preferred but not required, as is a working knowledge of NEPA and Section 106 procedures related to the wireless industry. A biology or environmental science degree is required for this position. GSS offers a very competitive salary/vacation program, 401K, Health Insurance, Café/Comp Plan and a positive work environment. Salary will be based off qualifications and relevant experience. Position requirements and duties are subject to change, based on the workload and current needs of GSS. This position could be a remote/hybrid position for persons with the proper qualifications and experience.
