Job Description

About Quora Legal:
At Quora Legal, we blend smart research, trial strategy, and a genuinely collaborative culture to support litigation teams nationwide. We're a people-first company that values expertise and initiative. Having secured several contracts with large pharmaceutical companies, we are seeking experienced Independent Contractors to support complex, high-stakes litigation on an as-needed basis. This is a unique opportunity to provide specialized consulting on a project-by-project basis for some of the most significant pharmaceutical trials in the country.
Engagement Overview:
This is an as-needed contract. Project engagements require travel to trial venues, mock trial sites, and client meetings as dictated by the specific case schedule. You will collaborate with our Senior Trial Consultant/Senior Managing Director to ensure case themes are psychologically sound and persuasive.
Scope of Services:
Strategy & Research:
Support the development of case themes and the execution of research events (mock trials, focus groups, and complex jury research projects).
Data & Analysis:
Assist in the design and oversight of online jury research, surveys, and community attitude studies.
Trial Support:
Provide on-site support for jury selection, shadow juries, and in-court trial monitoring; assist in witness preparation and juror profiling.
Administrative Diligence:
Record and submit billable time daily within our firm's billing software. Precise, detailed task descriptions are required for client transparency.
Contractor Qualifications:
Expertise:
Experience in jury/litigation consulting, ideally within mass torts, toxic torts, or pharmaceutical matters (Level of engagement assigned based on depth of experience).
Engagement Support:
Proven ability to manage project deadlines and maintain professional communication with trial counsel and legal departments.
Scientific Literacy:
Ability to help translate "science-heavy" case themes into relatable narratives for juror comprehension.
Research Skills:
Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods, including exposure to statistical software (e.g., SPSS) or presentation tools.
Education:
Graduate degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in psychology/related field or a J.D. preferred.
Contract Details & Compensation:
Classification:
1099 Independent Contractor.
Pay Rate:
$125.00 - $200.00 per hour (Negotiable based on experience level and trial complexity).
Schedule:
Project-based; must be able to handle intermittent, high-intensity workloads during trial phases.
Tools:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, presentation tools, and professional billing/time-tracking software. Why Partner with Quora Legal? Quora Legal offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive, collaborative organization that values expertise. As a preferred contractor, you'll have a seat at the table on sophisticated matters for major clients—benefiting from a "people-first" culture that respects professional independence and flexibility.
Pay:
$125.00 - $200.00 per hour Application Question(s): When assisting with voir dire in a high-stakes civil case, what specific behaviors or 'red flags' do you look for to identify a 'stealth juror' who may be hiding a strong anti-corporate bias?
Education:
Master's (Preferred)
Experience:
Jury research: 3 years (Required) Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)
Work Location:
