Job Description

Title:
Field Technology Specialist, Farm Systems Innovation - 120469
Onsite/Remote:
Remote Position This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. Be responsible for executing data capture of select farm activities with pilot customers Troubleshoot technical difficulty with Farm Systems Innovation equipment Conduct field activities, including drone flights and sensor data collection Set up and operate tools such as drones, imaging systems, and sensing equipment in real-world farm environments Ensure consistent, repeatable data collection across blocks, orchards, and pilot farms Spend time on-site with customers, supporting daily operations and building familiarity with farm workflows and constraints Assist in setting up and maintaining systems during pilot rollouts, including hardware, connectivity, and data collection workflows Work closely with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure collected data meets requirements and resolves gaps quickly Manage and maintain drones, sensors, and field equipment to ensure reliable operation Surface real-world observations, challenges, and opportunities to improve recommendations, workflows, and system design Operate drones and equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements Comfortable working outdoors and in farm environments for extended periods Strong attention to detail and ability to follow data collection protocols Basic technical familiarity with sensors, mobile tools, or field equipment Ability to work independently in the field and interact professionally with growers Strong communication skills to relay field insights back to the team Interest in agriculture, technology, and innovation Valid U.S. Driver's License Experience operating drones (FAA Part 107 certification preferred or willingness to obtain) Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing, Data and Analytics related fields, or equivalent experience.
