JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Science is seeking applicants for part-time job of student researcher in the Almishal Research Group. The successful candidate will assist in experimental and computational studies of quantum and magnetic oxide materials.
Job duties to include:
analysis of magnetic hysteresis and temperature-dependent magnetic measurements
fitting and interpretation of polarized neutron reflectometry (PNR) data Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies: experience with scientific programming and data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, Origin, or similar software
coursework or a strong interest in materials science, physics, and mathematics
prior research in thin-film growth and characterization
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $18/hr.
