Monday-Friday, Day Shift Purpose Statement/Position Summary :
The Research Specialist assists faculty and staff in designing and implementing research projects. Independently plans, prepares, and conducts a wide variety of routine and non-routine (complex) laboratory procedures. Oversees multiple projects at a time. Records, tabulates, and analyzes data and assists with and provides expertise in the preparation of papers, posters, and scientific publications. Assists in training laboratory personnel.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience :
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience performing independent laboratory research experiments OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experience performing independent laboratory research experiments. Prior experience in CRISPR genome editing, retinal organoid production, copy number inference based on single cell RNA-sequencing. DNA sequence file management and analysis preferred.Education/Licensure/Certification :
A minimum Bachelor's degree, in a related scientific field (e.g., biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or psychology) required. Master's degree or above preferred in a related scientific field (e.g., biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or psychology).Pay Scale Information:
