3years Position Summary We are seeking a Research Associate to join the Drug Product Technologies group in Thousand Oaks, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in protein chemistry, formulation, and biophysical characterization. This role involves hands-on laboratory work supporting the development of formulations for therapeutic proteins, including stability studies and analytical characterization. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory experiments related to protein formulation development and stability testing Conduct analytical characterization using biochemical and biophysical techniques Prepare and handle samples, including protein solution manipulation (pipetting, dialysis, concentration) Execute HPLC chromatography and protein sample analysis Analyze and interpret experimental data; present findings as needed Maintain accurate and detailed records in electronic laboratory notebooks Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to experimental design Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or a related life sciences field Minimum 1+ year of laboratory experience (industry preferred; academic experience acceptable) Strong understanding of protein biochemistry and protein structure Hands-on experience with basic lab techniques, including pipetting, sample preparation, and handling Experience with HPLC chromatography and protein analysis Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Master's degree (or equivalent) in a related field (preferred but not required) Experience with: Capillary electrophoresis Size exclusion chromatography (SEC), cation exchange chromatography (CEX) Visible and sub-visible particle analysis Protein biochemistry and analytical/biophysical techniques Additional Details Fully onsite role in Thousand Oaks, CA Experience in protein biochemistry and analytical chemistry strongly preferred
