The Department of Molecular Medicine seeks candidates for a tenured or tenure-track position who use structural biology-based approaches and cryo-EM to understand the molecular basis of disease that complement the department's existing strengths in infectious, neurological, and oncological diseases. The successful candidate for this position is expected to have already established a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program, and have experience mentoring and educating graduate and medical students. A highly competitive salary and start-up package commensurate with experience will be provided to the successful candidate to promote continued success.
Minimum:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate Professor, or Full Professor.
For Associate/Full Professor:
M ust have established a national and/or international reputation in the field as evidenced by significant publications and competitive research grants.
Preferred:
Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field, with research experience evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and successful grant writing. Preference will be given to candidates with interdisciplinary training, a record of collaboration, and direct experience with Cryo-EM techniques. Research:
\n \n Maintain a nationally recognized research program funded by federal and private grants that leads to significant manuscripts in respected scientific journals. \n \n
