Job Title:
Microbiology Laboratory Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Laboratory Technician to perform and review analyses of in-process, release, and stability samples of API and/or filled products. This role requires adherence to cGMP, site, and corporate policies and procedures, ensuring the accuracy and scientific soundness of laboratory data. Responsibilities Prepare microbiological media. Wash and sterilize equipment and media using autoclaves. Read and interpret environmental monitoring samples. Conduct bioburden testing of utility samples via membrane filtration. Ensure accuracy and scientific soundness of lab data. Maintain environmental and GMP compliance in the laboratory. Support the QC Laboratory's operational needs. Contribute to the
DAPI US & DFP
water testing program. Participate in the Lab Preventative Maintenance program. Complete other assigned accountabilities. Essential Skills Proficiency in microbiology and aseptic techniques. Experience in laboratory settings, including knowledge of lab safety and SOP reading. Previous exposure to microbiology courses in academia. Understanding of aseptic techniques and GMP standards. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree in a scientific field or equivalent education and experience. At least one year of experience in a clinical, industrial, or pharmaceutical laboratory is a plus. Attention to detail and ability to execute testing according to a structured plan. Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques. Work Environment This position operates during the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, on-site. There is no immediate need for weekend coverage, though flexibility for weekend or 2nd shift work may be requested in the future. The work involves moving equipment and supplies weighing up to 33 pounds, performing close precision work, and occasionally working at elevated heights or with hazardous materials. Corrected vision to 20/25 and color vision are required. The company values growth from within, offering individual development plans and hands-on training opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.38 - $28.38/hr.
