To Apply for this Job Click Here This position supports both field and facility operations related to seed production and quality tracking. The role involves a mix of outdoor fieldwork and indoor processing responsibilities, contributing to various stages of the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field scouting activities to capture crop quality data using company-provided mobile devices Travel daily from a central meeting location in Waco to assigned field sites (may be up to an hour away) using a personal vehicle Perform field observations including crop assessments, pollen tracking, and data entry Assist with planting, pollinating, note-taking, and manual harvesting as needed Support indoor operations such as seed receiving, cleaning, sorting, treating, counting, labeling, and storage Maintain accurate records using handheld devices and computer-based systems Participate in inventory handling, including organizing and storing materials while ensuring accuracy in tracking systems Perform basic equipment upkeep and follow preventive maintenance procedures when assigned
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking over long distances across varying outdoor terrain Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the day Willingness to work extended hours during peak production seasons
Qualifications:
