*Internal Candidates Only* Student Assistant - Biology Research (Sac State Students Only)

The Biological Sciences department on the Sacramento State campus is seeking to hire two student assistants. The Student Assistants will participate in NIH-funded research investigating the genetic and metabolic mechanisms that influence bacterial evolution and function within microbial communities. The project focuses on anaerobic bacteria and gene amplification processes. Students will gain hands-on experience in microbiology, molecular biology, and genomic analysis while working in a collaborative laboratory environment under faculty supervision. This position emphasizes training in experimental design, data collection, analysis, and scientific communication.
