Job Description
Our Client, a Biopharmaceutical company, is looking for a Research Associate
- Biology
- II for their Santa Monica, CA location.
Responsibilities:
Culture, quality control (QC), and cell banking of diverse solid tumor cell lines
Engineer, culture and characterize CAR T cell function in vitro
Perform routine laboratory procedures including ddPCR, qPCR, Flow, Luminex/MSD for ELISA and various cell-based immunoassays and biochemical assays
Analyze, interpret, and translate results into actionable and tangible findings
Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory procedures, experimental designs, and results in compliance with organizational standards; familiarity with Benchling a plus.
Design and execute fit-for-purpose or hypothesis-based experiments; analyze and
interpret data to support development
Communicate effectively research plans and results, in both oral and written form
Coordinate tasks across multiple projects, work closely with cross-functional teams to support ongoing research projects, ensuring seamless integration of experimental findings
Contribute to a dynamic, exciting culture that embraces teamwork and innovation
Support the timeline-sensitive Pre-IND/IND research activity and work cross-functionally with different teams
Requirements:
Master's Degree and 2+ years of related industry/academic Experience OR
Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of related industry/academic experience OR
BS 6+ years or MS 3+ years or equivalent degree of relevant experience in Cell Biology and/or Immunology.
Prior hands-on experience in the CAR-T field is preferred.
Proficiency in experiment design, data analysis, interpretation, and presentation. Required high degree of accuracy and attention to details.
Hands on experience with primary T cell isolation, culture and assays (e.g. cytotoxicity assays, cell proliferation assays, xCELLigence/eSight assays), multicolor flow cytometry,
SCLC cell line culture and data analysis (FACSDiva, FlowJo, GraphPad, Prism, Excel).
Experience with ex vivo CAR T manufacturing is preferred
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
