Postdoctoral Associate (BES) Florida Tech - 4.0 Melbourne, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Research manuscripts Scientific publications Doctor of Philosophy Full Job Description The Proteasome Regulation and Drug Discovery Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Science is seeking a highly motivated and independent Postdoctoral Associate to join our research team. The successful candidate will lead and contribute to projects involving proteasome drug discovery, with a focus on generating high-quality, reproducible data and advancing ongoing research projects in the lab. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and analyze experiments using advanced imaging platforms (e.g., confocal microscopy, electron microscopy, fluorescence imaging, atomic force microscopy). Perform and optimize yeast cell culture for drug screen. Develop and apply enzymatic activity based assays to study drug function. Analyze and interpret imaging data using appropriate software and quantitative methods. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and report results weekly. Prepare manuscripts, figures, and presentations for publication and conferences. Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in experimental design and laboratory techniques. Ensure compliance with institutional safety and regulatory guidelines. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Strong background in advanced microscopy techniques (e.g., confocal, electron, AFM, or live-cell imaging). Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
