Job Description

Helixon US Inc. Scientist Position (Full Time) Helixon US Inc. Full Time About Helixon US Inc. Helixon US Inc. is a biotechnology company focused on next-generation antibody drug discovery. We are seeking a highly motivated PhD Scientist to join our growing team in Champaign, IL, to contribute directly to the development of innovative therapeutic antibody pipelines. At Helixon, you will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your research has a direct impact on advancing novel biologics from concept to candidate. About the Role This role offers a unique opportunity to build and refine cutting-edge discovery platforms aimed at addressing challenging targets with significant translational potential.
Hours per week:
40 This position is fully on-site in Champaign, IL. This is not a remote position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Willing to work weekend hours when necessary. No travel is involved for this position. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US. No sponsorship is available for this position.
Compensation:
$85,000 - $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off (PTO), and paid sick days.
Requirements Degree:
PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics or related field. Candidates with anticipated degree completion in August 2026 may apply
Years Experience:
0-3 years post-PhD experience Responsibilities PCR, RT-qPCR, and molecular cloning Library preparation and sequencing analysis Phage display DNA/RNA isolation and purification Recombinant protein expression and purification (FPLC experience highly desirable) Flow cytometry experience is a bonus but not mandatory Mammalian and bacterial cell culture Immunoassays (western blot & ELISA) Familiarity with common scientific analytical tools (GraphPad Prism, R, Python, etc.) and use of an
