Well-qualified and highly motivated candidates at all academic ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) are wee to . Applicants must hold a PhD and/or MD. The recruitment is aimed at expanding and strengthening cardiovascular physiology research on the Indianapolis campus. Areas of particular interest for this recruitment include integrative cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology, heart failure, hypertension, vascular disease, and immunology in cardiovascular disease. Candidates whose researchplements existing departmental and center strengths in cardiovascular research, immunology, metabolism, cell biology, ion transport, imaging, renal physiology, muscle and bone biology, and neuroscience are strongly encouraged to . Successful candidates will be collaborative, interdisciplinary researchers who engage across the full spectrum of scientific activity—from basic discovery to translational and clinical research. Robust opportunities for collaboration exist through campus centers such as the Krannert Cardiovascular Research Center, Indiana Center for Musculoskeletal Health, the Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases, and with partners throughout Indianapolis, including the Roudebush VA Medical Center and Regenstrief Institute. Opportunities exist to collaborate statewide through the Indiana Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), a consortium between IU, Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame. Successful candidates are expected to contribute to medical and graduate education. The Department of ACBP conducts cutting‑edge biomedical research across a wide range of diseases and disorders.
