IU School of Medicine West Lafayette Position Summary The Indiana University School of Medicine-West Lafayette (IUSM-WL), department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology (ACBP) invites applications from outstanding individuals for a non-tenure track, 12-month faculty appointment at the Assistant Clinical Professor level. The candidate will be involved in multiple aspects of medical student education including: teaching in pre-clinical courses, mentoring students, serving on local and statewide medical and/or graduate student committees, and providing requested input to medical and graduate training programs. The position will have additional focus on advancing medical student scholarship on campus by supporting students' scholarship endeavors, including through the IUSM-WL's Scholarly Concentrations. Primary teaching responsibilities will include gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, histology, embryology, and other basic science disciplines. The position will report directly to the IUSM-WL Campus Director and will be responsible for advancing the training, teaching, and student scholarship missions of IUSM-WL, primarily within the pre-clinical curriculum. Basic Qualifications Doctorate or terminal degree required Successful candidates will: Hold at least two professional degrees (master's and/or doctoral), with one being a PhD Have at least 6 months of teaching experience at an MD/DO-granting medical school which can include as a graduate student. Teaching of anatomy requires training and experience in anatomy, including cadaveric dissection, and familiarity with lab preparation and functioning, preferably within a medical curriculum. Experience in designing and implementing educational scholarship, including prior collaborations with MD/DO students.
