Job Description

Biological Scientist Cape Fox Shared Services dental insurance, vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) United States, Maryland, Bethesda May 13, 2026 Cape Fox Facilities Services is seeking a Biological Scientist to provide support for theNational Institute of Health.

The Biological Scientist will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of Aging (NIA). The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through the performance of support services. The total hourly pay range for this exempt position is$32
  • $53for up to 40 hours per week.
This rate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Providetechnical experience needed to assist in studying the basic principles of plant and animal life
  • Plan and administer biological research programs
  • Study basic principles of plant and animal life, such as origin, relationship, development, anatomy, and function
  • Develop and maintain liaisons and effective working relations with groups and individuals, agencies, and the public to encourage cooperative management strategies or to develop information and interpret findings Assistwith performing basic laboratory experiments and procedures
  • Collect and analyze biological data about relationships among and between organisms and their environment
  • Monitor and observe experiments, recording production and test data for evaluation by research personnel
  • Analyze experimental data and interpret results to write reports and summaries of findings
  • Coordinate the work of biological technicians and technologists and other scientists Prepare, organize,and maintainvarious lab samples, supplies, and equipment
  • Operate, calibrate, or maintain equipment used in quantitative or qualitative analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, or computer-controlled analyzers
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Operate laboratory equipment to analyze samples
  • Analyze laboratory findings Learnnew laboratory techniques and procedures
  • Program and use computers to store, process, and analyze data
  • Monitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards
  • Interpret research or operational data
  • Record research or operational data
