Job Description

The Chemical Glycobiology Section, led by Dr. Jeff Gildersleeve, is currently seeking Staff Scientists to join their team in the Chemical Biology Laboratory. About the position Working under Dr. Jeff Gildersleeve , prospective staff scientists will focus on developing and studying anti-glycan antibodies for basic research and clinical applications. This staff scientist will be expected to lead independent research projects while simultaneously training and mentoring both postdoctoral and postbaccalaureate lab fellows in the chemical, biochemical, molecular biology, and cell biology techniques we use to study anti-glycan antibodies. Ideal candidates will have a background in chemistry, glycobiology, molecular biology, protein expression, and glycan microarray technology. They should also have a minimum of 5 years experience as a post-doctoral fellow leading and publishing independent research projects. English language proficiency is a must, as is proficiency in molecular biology, antibody expression/characterization, glycobiology, chemical biology, and microarray technologies.
