Job Description

This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date and orientation on September 7th, 2026. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours. The Pediatric Teaching program, along with the PICU and pediatric subspecialists, are the home for the Pediatric Primary Care residency as well as the pediatric rotations for all UNC medical students.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Pediatric faculty on scholarly projects including research and QI Help collect data in EPIC to support scholarly projects Using the basics of research design, work with faculty on project development Assist in writing manuscripts or assembling posters for scholarly projects
Education:
Required:
Must be in process of a college-level degree in a related field and a student in good standing. Junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum 3.3 GPA. Degree majors in biology, physiology, psychology, public health and/or intention to apply for medical school.
Experience:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with research preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn. Respectful of cross-cultural differences and aligned with Cone Health's values.
