$0.00 - $0.00 The DiPersio Research Group is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Postdoctoral Fellow to join a fast-paced, translational research program focused on a disease driven by mutations in the ITGA3 gene. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mechanistic discovery and therapeutic development in a dynamic and supportive research environment.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field (required)
  • Strong background in cell and molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with animal models (preferred), or willingness to learn
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, plan, and execute independent research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator
  • Perform and optimize experiments using cell culture systems, molecular biology, and biochemical approaches
  • Develop and utilize genetically engineered mouse models, including colony management and experimental procedures
  • Analyze, interpret, and rigorously document experimental data; maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records
  • Prepare reagents, culture media, and laboratory materials necessary for ongoing experiments
  • Critically review scientific literature to inform experimental design and troubleshoot methodologies
  • Collaborate with the PI and lab members to refine research strategies and adapt protocols as needed
  • Present research findings at lab meetings, institutional seminars, and scientific conferences
  • Prepare manuscripts, figures, and grant-related materials for publication and funding submissions
  • Train and mentor graduate students, technicians, and other laboratory personnel
  • Ensure compliance with institutional safety, biosafety, and animal care regulations This position is ideal for a candidate interested in translational science and contributing to impactful research with clinical relevance.
