Job Description
To perform advanced molecular genetics and translational oncology/immunology research experiments, lead and assist in the training of graduate and junior research staff, communicate research results through formal and informal oral presentations, and disseminate findings via peer-reviewed publications and written manuscripts. Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. by start date in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience (including Ph.D. training) in laboratory research experience in molecular biology. Minimum of 5 English language publications in high quality, peer-reviewed molecular biology journals. Mammalian and bacterial cell culture; current methods of molecular biology/genetics (PCR, gel electrophonesis, DNA isolation, cloning, DNA transfection, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation assays, RNA silencing; microRNA analysis, Next generation sequencing using Ion Torrent platform, ability to interact effectively with coworkers. Supervisor/mentoring experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with patient-derived xenograft (PDX) cell line generation, organoid culture systems, and/or in vivo preclinical models (mouse or non-human primate). Track record of contributing to externally funded research grants (NIH, industry-sponsored, or equivalent).
