In this role, you will drive groundbreaking discoveries in plant genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology to advance sustainable agriculture and crop improvement. Your expertise will contribute to developing novel plant traits, optimizing laboratory protocols, and utilizing cutting-edge technologies to unravel complex biological processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated scientist eager to make a tangible impact through scientific research and biotechnology. Duties Conduct tissue culture experiments to regenerate plants and develop transformation protocols for various species. Isolate high-quality DNA from plant tissues for downstream genetic analysis and sequencing applications. Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, and transfection, to analyze gene expression and protein interactions. Utilize bioinformatics tools including R, Python, and next-generation sequencing data analysis to interpret genetic information. Maintain rigorous laboratory practices adhering to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards for reproducibility and quality control. Design and execute experiments involving gene editing, transgenic plant development, and functional genomics studies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research projects involving genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics to accelerate discovery. Experience Proven laboratory experience in plant tissue culture, DNA isolation, PCR, and cell culture techniques. Strong background in molecular biology methods such as transfection, assays development, and gene expression analysis. Familiarity with bioinformatics platforms like R and Python for data analysis of genomic sequences or transcriptomics datasets. Experience working with flow cytometry, next-generation sequencing technologies, and mammalian cell culture is a plus. Knowledge of biochemistry principles relevant to plant systems and cellular processes. Demonstrated ability to design experiments independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Prior experience working under CGMP conditions or in regulated research environments is advantageous but not mandatory. Join us in pushing the boundaries of plant science!
