Job Description

ICR is dedicated to solving some of the most challenging problems in aging and age-related disease. We're looking for talented scientists to join our Functional Genomics group. Tasked with going "from SNP to phenotype," our Functional Genomics scientists connect genomic variants with organismic-level symptoms through molecular, cellular, tissue and animal models. With ICR, you'll get to: ‍ Research the potential functional impact of any given SNP on protein or cellular function: from RNA to protein to cell to systems-level analysis including work on known disease-associated SNPs and VUSs in the context of various human primary and iPSC-derived cell types Project manage out-sourced work with CROs to maximize your productivity Collaborate with other ICR scientists and groups, including Translational Bioinformatics and Genomics, to solve complex human medical mysteries Identify potentially actionable targets for therapeutic development Please apply if you have: PhD in Biomedical Sciences In-depth knowledge of and experience with modern molecular and cellular biology techniques, preferably experience doing functional genomics Experience with iPSCs and iPSC differentiation protocols preferred, but mammalian cell culture experience is a must Experience creating and validating stem cell-derived disease models Programming experience (Python preferred) Even if you don't have all of these skills, please apply And you'll need: The ability to work in the United States without sponsorship To have an easygoing, hard-working personality Salary Starting base pay range: $135,000/yr - $175,000/yr ‍Starting additional compensation range: $7,500/yr - $17,500/yr ‍Starting position title and compensation are commensurate with experience.
