Job Description

The Neurology Department at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of November, 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment beginning November 1, 2026. The base salary range for this position will be $18,885 - $20,206 per month ($226,620 to $242,472 per year) for the Assistant Professor title or $21,343-$22,981 per month ($256,116 to $275,772) per year) for the Associate Professor title, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute the clinical and research growth of an active pediatric neurogenetics program in the Division of Pediatric Neurology and the Seattle Children's Research Institute. All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service. Qualifications Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications: M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Washington, and certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
