Our team is small, collaborative, and hands-on—every role here directly impacts product quality and operational success. We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Analytical Chemistry Technician to support bath chemistry control, wastewater treatment operations, and in-process quality verification. Position Overview The Analytical Chemistry Technician is responsible for maintaining the chemical integrity and operational performance of our processing tanks and wastewater treatment systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship. This is a highly independent, hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, accurate recordkeeping, and the ability to understand and apply moderately complex testing procedures. Key Responsibilities Process Bath Monitoring & Control Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on plating, anodizing, etching, and sealing baths (pH, titrations, concentration analysis, TDS, temperature verification, etc.) Calculate chemical additions and make controlled adjustments to maintain specified operating parameters Maintain organized, accurate logs of test results and chemical adjustments Identify trends, irregularities, or process deviations and communicate findings to management Wastewater Treatment & Environmental Compliance Monitor and treat wastewater generated by production operations Perform required testing and chemical treatment adjustments to maintain regulatory compliance Document treatment activities and maintain compliance records Assist with inspections and audits as needed Quality Control & Production Support Inspect parts at various stages of processing for quality and conformance Verify bath performance relative to product outcomes Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot process-related issues Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance consistency and efficiency Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Strong basic math skills (including ratios, percentages, and unit conversions) Ability to follow detailed written procedures and technical specifications Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping Critical thinking and problem-solving ability Comfort working in a production environment around chemicals and industrial equipment Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field Prior experience in laboratory testing, water treatment, metal finishing, or manufacturing quality control Familiarity with titrations, analytical balances, and standard lab instrumentation Understanding of environmental compliance or wastewater systems What We're Looking For This role is best suited for someone who: Learns quickly and retains technical information Takes responsibility for accuracy and consistency Is comfortable double-checking their own work Understands that documentation matters Can think critically when data does not match expectations Is interested in developing professional technical skills over time This is not a passive or purely observational role.
