Position Summary:

Hiring Salary:

$14.00 This position monitors and coordinates the activities of and provides support and assistance to assigned laboratories to enable effective and safe lab operations. Job Duties Assists lab assistants and supports faculty and students regarding appropriate use of equipment and lab procedures mixing chemicals; troubleshoots problems. If appropriate, set up and take down labs for class. Cleans and stocks materials. Provides necessary materials and equipment required for effective laboratory instruction and experiments. Assists faculty with the preparation of lab materials (mixing chemicals) and lab tests Monitors and coordinates lab activities; trains and/or provides guidance to part-time lab technicians and student assistants. Maintains safe and clean working conditions in the lab. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. Prepare specimens for laboratory use. Maintain lab equipment as needed; maintenance and keep supplies stocked as needed. Performs similar and related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associates degree and two years of experience working in a science, chemistry or medical laboratory. Must be able to work some evening and weekends.
