Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow directives pertaining to specific processes or tasks. Maintain and operate lab equipment, including pipettes, burettes, TDS and pH meters. Maintain accurate and organized records. Perform Daily Solution Analysis per schedule. Take samples from processing tanks. Perform multiple analyses in laboratory. Prepare and ship samples to laboratories. Perform "Adds", "Decant", "Builds" and "Dumps" of processing tanks. Perform Monthly Testing Create travelers for all required tests. Prepare test specimens. Create Purchase Orders for outside tests. Prepare and ship samples to outside laboratories. Ensure laboratory is clean and stocked with needed chemicals, buffer solutions and chemical glassware. Work with a variety of chemicals, including hazardous and non-hazardous. Lift parts, tools, and equipment. Work non-traditional hours, such as overtime, weekends and holidays. Basic knowledge of chemistry. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Maintain organization and have extreme attention to detail. Ability to accurately follow directions. Able to work independently and efficiently. Other duties may be assigned as requested by supervisor. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1 year of chemistry/lab related experience preferred. Must have knowledge of basic laboratory procedures, techniques, and instrumentation.
